The Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) is pleased to announce her 2015 Golden Ink Essay Contest, as part of the activities towards the upcoming Orientation Week Programme.
This year’s edition is themed: “Unveiling The Treasure”.
Topics FIRST CATEGORY (100L Muslim Students only): At the crossroad; Muslim students between 5.0 and the 5 tenets

Contest Prizes
1st prize: Both categories: Brand new mobile phones
2nd Prize: First category: Pressure cooker Second category: Electric blender
3rd prize: First category: Laptop bag Second category: Electric iron
Deadline Monday, 4th May, 2014 by 2:00pm
Guidelines The contest is open to all interested (100L-500L) LAUTECH Muslim students only In shaa Allah, the winners will be announced during the Formal Event of this year’s MSSN LAUTECH Orientation Week Program.
More so, there are consolation prizes for the top ten positions in both categories. The essay should include a front page cover containing the title of the essay, writer’s full name, department, Matric number, phone number and email address. (Information about the writer should be limited to the front page only) Essay must be an original work of the student that addresses the assigned topic (co-authorship is disallowed) The essay must have a minimum of 1000 words and must not exceed 1200 words. Essay must be composed in Times New Roman font using 12 font size, be double spaced and justified.
Essay must be written and typed in English language only. Rapt attention must be paid to the logicality of expression, grammar and syntax, spelling, content, relevance to topic and references from the Qur’an and Hadith.
All citations must be acknowledged Complete essays should be submitted (in hard copy) to the MSSN LAUTECH Secretariat adjacent Students Union Building, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso or electronically to mssnlautecheditorial@gmail.com as a Microsoft Word (.doc and .docx) attachment.
