Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale has been named the fastest player in the world in a new report.
The study carried out by the Mexican Premier League club Pachuca, measured players’ speed when running with the ball.
In the list which was backed by FIFA, Welsh star Gareth Bale was named the fastest player, reaching a speed of 36.9km per hour and is followed by a rather surprised name Jürgen Damm.
The 22-year-old Mexican made the list with a speed of 35.25 km per hour with the ball at his feet.
Manchester United winger Antonio Valencia is in third with a speed of 35.1 km per hour and English man Aaron Lennon in fourth with a speed of 33.8 km per hour.
Current Ballon d'Or holder Cristiano Ronaldo makes the list at number five with a speed of 33.8 km per hour and is followed closely by Arsenal forward, Theo Walcott.
Lionel Messi comes in at seventh place with a speed of 32.5 km, Wayne Rooney comes eight with 31.2 km per hour, Frank Ribery is ninth with a speed of 30.7 while Sergio Ramos rounds up the list with 30.6 km per hour.
