This Man Proposed to His Girlfriend Every Day for a Year

If you typically get emotional over normal proposals, you’ll want to take a seat for this one. In fact, you’ll need to, because the viral video is 15 minutes long (but worth every second of your time).
Last year on his girlfriend Jennifer’s birthday, Dean Smith realized she was the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. The only problem was, he wanted the proposal to be perfect. Then he came up with the brilliant idea to incorporate something she loves — countdowns. For the next 365 days Dean taped himself holding a white board, every day, displaying a different version of the same question: “Will you marry me?”
From eating breakfast, to brushing his teeth or getting in the car for work, even snuggling with the dogs, each little message was a reminder to Jennifer that Dean thinks about her every single day. By the time he had finished making the video, the couple was celebrating Jennifer’s birthday again, this time in Aruba.

What Jennifer didn’t know was that Dean had brought along her friends and family for the grand finale of his epic proposal. Using the same whiteboards that Dean holds (and dances with) throughout the video, her sister, brother, and parents all present her with little messages from Dean until finally she sits in a chair on the beach and is told to watch the video. You can watch all 365 days starting at the 3:16 mark and ending at 14:20, right before the video cuts back to Jennifer on the beach.
The video, which has been viewed over 7 million times on YouTube, is captioned with this message:
“Devotion and dedication! Lot of love went into making this proposal! Dean proposes to Jennifer at the beautiful Playa Linda Resort in Aruba on her birthday, January 8, 2015.”
